I Just finished building my diff. It was tight and crunchy like quite a number of people have posted. I took it back apart and found the same thing at least one person posted. One of the diff cross shafts had not had the recess machined in it. A couple minutes with the dremel to match the two shafts and my diff is as smooth as silk.
Maybe I should try that, but the manual shows one shaft cut and one not.
I would think, from a design stand point, that you want at least one shaft to be solid.
It must be the thickness of the solid shaft that is creating a gap...
