I did not say all mod motors did I? I said MOST mod motors only like to run hot. Because that has been my personal experience with heavily modded .12 motors.
Only incomplete (or wrong) modding will create high temp. Only unefficient engine will create temperature. Efficient engine will use temperature power to convert in HP. So, most likely you were using wrong moddifier for service or you might need to work out on tuning. Very dificult to determinate the real problem without seeing it.
