Our club's scrutineer says that removing all head shims in the OS engine is illegal as far as he is concerned; we should only be allowed to remove one, and he will disqualify any car with no head shims from bigger events. Most of the gas drivers disagree with this ruling; and say that this action is simply a tuning procedure. What is the consensus about it on this forum? Is it improper to race with no head shims?
