I have the Losi 4S in mine. It's kinda pricey, but works well and handles the required discharge rates. I don't think you would have any problem with a maxamp pack either. At the track on Saturday, the TQ of all 1/8 buggies (to include nitro) was an RC8-E running a maxamp battery. He ran a 20 minute main, but the race ended at 17 minutes because one of the marshals was struck in the ankle by a different car. His buggy was still going strong at 17 minutes...
