Mine came with instructions. I let it idle for the first tank on the stand on the out of the box jet settings ( it comes preset ). then I ran the first 2 litres reasonably rich with lots of smoke. then on the final litre I starting leaning it slightly still keeping it on the rich side. Ive gone through 30 litres so far and it hasnt missed a beat, lots of compression left. If you havent got a pipe for it yet and dont want to spend moon beams on a RB 2045, then run a Jammin JP1 they work very well.
