Houston, Thanks for all the help so far. I changed to the mccoy 8 plug and the temps went to around 280ish on 20% nitro. I was using the stock cold plug before. Is this normal? I have a plus 21-5k. Sorry for all the noob questions. Also do I need to do anything on the motor to go to 30% nitro?
what temps were you running before ?
what plug were you using ?
did you notice more power ? less power ?
some engines do run better w/ a cooler plug .
as far as switching to 30% , you definitely should
you can add .10mm shim and it will run better . not necessary but i would recommend it .
