You need both...I don't think I'd bother racing if I only owned a Slash or SC10.

SC10 is essentially a XXX-T with Speed T shock towers and shocks. Way better than a slash. Has many XXX-T parts as well. I prefer it over Traxxas any day
still would keep your 2wd buggy as you will get tired of the RC10 pretty quickly when all you do is lap racers by 5 laps
that use the slash
The 2wd buggy takes more skill to drive and you will quickly get tired of the SC10 and or Slash. It is fun for a little while esp after drinking a few but not more than 1 hours time.
