Do you really feel like it was the ESC that made the differrence. Was the battery about the same? Did he warm his up. It was VTA so Im assuming you were both running the Novak 21.5. Was anyone running ceramic bearings?
Just wondering if the ESC can make that much of an advantage. I think the SPX would be a great choice, but now Im leaning toward an RS or a GT.
The point i was trying to make was that he kicked my butt with what some might say is not as good of an esc. I don't know what he did to his stuff but it was not straight line speed that beat me by any stretch of the imagination. He was fast in every area of performance.
