Jaz I should have mentioned if you solder you might want to offset the joints,like one here next 5mm down & next 5mm farther down.I had a problem when I was a kid,all joints next to each other all individually shrink wraped & then all 3 wraped into one tube,they rubbed through & shorted in a couple months.
