Have you considered the Tamiya TA05 or TA05 IFS? these cars are up to $400 cheaper than RDX Phi, T2 009, TC5 etc and they go just as quick or if not quicker than all the expensive chassis on the market. Also parts are very common for the TA05 and very easy to pick up, tough durable chassis and simple a design for racing. Xray would be the least best choice by far even though I run an Xray myself due to the fact they bring out a new chassis every year which basically means you need to fork out big dollars just to upgrade the chassis and it works out to be roughly the same price as a new chassis anyway. The 416 not the best choice either due to the fact spare parts are not always acessible same goes with the Cyclone TC. Most of the high price touring chassis are great but doess't always mean they are best car, in state title meets I have seen the Tamiya TA05 dominate against all the high priced chassis when they are setup properly.
