Naoto won the recent 1:12 Worlds with only servo tape holding the servo down.
It actually makes sense to me that Yokomo did this for equal flex down the center line of the chassis. You really only need one servo mount and servo tape. Looks like the holes are perfectly symmetrical on the chassis except for the one in front of the motor mount and it looks like that one may not even be needed.
