I found the stock bumper to be a little fragile myself. I found buying the outlaw bumper, the real large one and cut it to the same shape as the smaller touring car bumper lasts for ever. I think its more rubbery (little softer) it doesnt crack.
One trick I picked up was taking out the middle screw where the bumper mounts to the chassis. That helped out alot. I know that there are more than 2 of you guys running Serpent out there at 301. Ask for Melvin or Duwan Lee, they both run Serpent and can help you out. Hope this helps.
