Traxxas is releasing big bore aluminum shocks specifically for the Slash. You'll have to check the rules at your track but most likely, if its a spec class, it won't be allowed.
At my local track, the only modifications we are allowed for shocks are the aluminum shock caps and whatever shock oil we want to run.
