My new GO 5-port blew the motors in my starter box. I'm not sure what to do with it now. I don't want to blow through a couple more starter box motors. What can I do to get this started. I can barely get it to turn with the plug out, and with the plug in forget it. I ran it on the box for a bit with fuel lubing it, but I never had a chance to fire it. Not really sure where to go from here...... Should I leave it at TDC for a few more days, perhaps put it in the oven at 225 or so a few times heat cycling it? I did use a heat gun tonight as well, I heated the motor to ~215 degrees. Now I see why it will need a new rod in gallons.
Try getting it up around 240, also might help to put a little fuel in the sleeve (through the head) for some lubrication. When I use my heat gun I don't point it down in the head I aim it right where the head meets the case, doesn't matter how hot you get the head, you need the heat in the case where the pinch is.
And before you bump it make sure the piston is at BDC so it has some momentum when it reaches the pinch.
