Most speed controller is designed only for 4 to 7 cells ( 8.4V ) max.

If you double the battery in series to get more speed like u said, there will be 12 cells ( 14.4V ), ...... Your ESC, Rx and Servo will leave this earth and straight to nirvana for good.

If you want to go high voltage properly, buy novak super duty xr
