Why cut comms down to almost nothing when they are new, all that does is waste copper and wipe out a lot of usable comm life. Ya'll only need to skim it enough to make sure it's really round. All cutting it down does is increase RPM and lessen the Torque. wouldn't it be easier just to change gear instead of whacking your comm down. More Torque, more gear, more RPM, less gear.
It's not rocket science people.
And why change brushes every 2-3 runs... never heard of a comm serrater. Most of the time, your throwing out perfectly good brushes. Unless they are burnt severely, they are still good, and will breakin quicker, after you re-serrate them after a comm skimmin'. Just think of them as half broken in already cause they pretty much match the comm now.... imagine that.
