It was sitting for a few days with the tank empty. i took out the flywheel to change it and found some dirt caked on the bearing. when i went to wipe it out. a little while later it looked to be that a little bit of fuel starting seeping out of it. wiped it again then no more...what are the simptoms of a leaky bearing. i have only gone through a gallon on the engine
All front bearings leak , some more than others . How to tell if the bearing is stuffed or not is put the edge of your thumb nail gently on the seal of the bearing. if you can push it round then you need a new one. if it dosent then its fine.
