thanks for the reply. curious that part was the one that people seem to have varied success with. is there only one version? (i thought maybe i had seen a newer part with a black coating compared to the standard light green anodizing)
Mine is grey (kinda looks light green) and comes with a steel spacer. For flanged bearing wheels you put the wheel on first, then slide the little steel sleeve up into the wheel a bit, then screw on the hand nut to seat it. Since most of the sleeve actually stays inside the nut you should be able to use it on unflanged wheels as well though I often do without it due to laziness.
