Best way to be sure would be to measure the shims to determine if the manual refers to actual shim measure or total effective head clearance.
By the way, what engine is it???

AFM actually it is an all round question, am running XXL .12 from maxpower have it shimmed out on 0.6 at the moment runs like a dream.
Was just making sure that I have it setup right...
