I have both the Raytek and Odonnel temp guns and both are very good. I use them to check each other and they are within 2F degrees of each other. I spent $90 for my Raytek when it first came out back in 2000/2001 and have been rolling with it ever since (still works like a charm). The Odonnel is my backup to the Raytek (had a battery crap out on me with the Raytek and did not have another 9v replacement battery). You can't go wrong with either and they are way cheaper than the Exergen gun, which has to be recalibrated ever so often to give you proper temp readings.
