John, Daniel or Jimmy-

I've been experimenting with variable rate discharge with some of my older packs with some success, and I'd like your input about it in relation to your cells.

My current discharger works like this:
Vmax to 6V: 20A
6.2-5.9V: 15A
5.9-5.7V: 10A
5.7-5.5: 5A
5.5-5.35: 1A

My thinking was that a lower discharge rate as the cells approached 5.4V would prevent the voltage bounce seen if the cells are run down to 5.4V at 20A and then pulled off (mine jump back to about 6.8V within a few seconds). I haven't had a chance to measure the discharge curves yet, but subjectively the packs I've cycled this way a few times seem to run just as strong as they used to, but a little longer.

Thoughts?
