By the sounds of it a bunch of people broke either savers or servos at Motorama on the 2.0's. I wonder how many were due to not checking it out first to make sure it was working properly? I'm thinking it was probably due to cold temps and the saver being too tight. After I loosened mine almost 2 turns from stock it started working great. It's just as smooth as can be now. I always run the losi aluminum servo horns and I might pick up the losi aluminum servo saver top as well. But I'm going to give it a shot like it is for now.
If the kit says "ready to race", why check anything out. And if you have to check one thing out, then you have to check everything out. That requires taking everything apart and putting it all back together. that's more work than putting a kit together. Bottom line, losi should just create kits. Or have a kit option.
