I'm also concerned about proper break in without the use of heatgun/hairdryer.

I have ran the 3 port sport the last couple races and it is an awesome motor. It has more bottom than a 3 port race. I have only ran mine modded but it keeps up with all the high dollar motors. Is there any good engine modders near were you live? Either 3 port will break in way easier than the 5 or 7 ports, the 3 port sport should be easier to break in than the race.

On the Eb m5, Ed recommends the fully modded for a buggy and a Race prepped for a truggy. The race prepped has more bottom end.
