Hmmm an LST knockoff. Interesting.
Check the linkage and connections on your steering servos (I assume Its running dual steering servos) Sometimes if the linkage on one servo is binding or if they're both not plugged in properly, one servo will drag the other down. We were having trouble with one of the lst2s here not turning to one side a while back...can't remember what the problem was at the moment, but I'll think about it and let you know if I remember.
Yeah most receivers have ....eh...pretty much the same plug setup. You might need to shave the tab off your servo plugs to fit some receivers if they have them and the RX don't but they can all pretty much be made to work. I'd probably do a little checking out of your current setup before I went out and bought a new radio package though.
As far as "what good named rc truck would you guys recommend ? 4 wd truck or bug or something." I'd stick with the one you've got for a bit. Depending on how close it is to an LST, it might just be a decent truck. You might even be able to use LST parts on your truck.
Some hobby shop owners can be VERY hostile when dealing with people that buy online and then come to them for help when things go wrong. If they would think about it a bit, you might turn out to be the perfect customer. If LST parts are interchangeable with that truck that is. Hobby shops don't cut a huge margin on kits, or rtrs. They make their money on parts, so who cares if you bought the truck online, as long as you're buying parts from them.
