because if you limit the motor then guys will start to oveargear to compensate. then you need to start a rule on gearing, then guys will feel the need to buy the best and freshest batteries to compete. in the end we will end up with a money pit class.
the simple way to fix the saftey issue is to watch the guys as they race / practice. if they cant maintain a reasonable ammount of control then the track owner needs to take the person aside and talk with them.
if they are needing marshalling because they are making mistakes at 10mph no biggie, if they are trying to get burly everytime they put the car in the air then they need to calm it down or go home. wreckless driving at high speeds is no different than hacking someone to get the lead.
