Futuba ( I think) uses a module that snaps into the back of the radio. Their new FASST stuff might have it built into the radio, not sure. BIND is a process used to connect the signal from the radio to the receiver. Thus the receiver only accepts a signal from your radio, untill you bind it to a different one. And no extra batteries, I think. I sounds more complicated than it really is. If your gonna buy a radio get 2.4ghz it is that much better.
