I must agree with Cherokee. I haven't had a rc truck in 15 years. I just got back into the hobby as of yesterday. My purchase was a Slash, and I finally got a chance to try it out today. The truck is really quick, and easy to setup, probably one of the best options on the market. I have searched around the net 2 weeks prior and most people kept mentioning the Slash. I happened to get the more uncommon Amsoil edition. I am absolutely in love with it. If you search around you can find used ones in the 150 range. New ones can be had for 180-200 all day.
