You don't go to brushless because it's faster. You go brushless because it's easier. Go over to the Speedmerchant thread. The guy who won 1/12 stock at the Snowbirds explains how he was trying a new motor but couldn't get the rollout just right, so he switched back to his tried and true motor which had almost a hundred runs on it.
