Yeah the Losi ball cups I got from Larry were a bit loose on the regular nickel ball studs but really helped with steering throw with the laid down servo. I used the old o-ring trick and that really tightened it up nicely but I want to pick up some Losi ball studs so I don't have to.
A quick fix to eliminate slop in the ball cups is to take a little bit of fuz off of the end of a Q-tip and stick it in the cup. Just a little. Now snap it on and you will have bind free and no slop. Now you can use whatever ball cup you want.
