I raced an rc8 all last year and now drive the 808. Both are great cars, but IMHO the rc8 is lacking in build quality. It is no where near as well put together as the 808. Not even in the same league. The plastic Associated uses on the rc8 is very weak. The rc8 is cheaper, but by the time you spend the money on the optional King Headz & m2c parts needed so the car doesn't fall apart on the track, you could have just bought a 808 or Mugen that doesn't need hopups. I swear it felt like if I just thought about my car breaking I would get a DNF with the rc8. The 808 has got to be the toughest buggy on the market and is also the lightest if that tells you anything about the quality of the car.
