Novas are great and so are the Speeds. I have a Speed that has 12+ gallons through it and another with around 8 both motors are still strong. The one with 12 I finally got tired of running and rebuilt it. The rod had barely worn.

What vehicle are you running? What kind of power do you want? I would throw this question on the Pro Twister mods thread and see what he says...
