The "economy" lipo problem is, the Yeah lipo's aren't readily available at local hobby shops and race tracks. I don't really see what the big deal is with the Orion 2400's....it's a great battery for a very good price, and they're everywhere. It's true that the 2400 Orion is not ROAR approved, but is it going to out perform anything else that is ROAR approved? I would hope that if someone showed up with one to race VTA that they would'nt get turned away. Another option would be the SMC 2600...... again, I have no idea if it's ROAR approved, but it looks like a very good battery in the $50 range. Maybe we can get Doug to add an admendment to allow 1 or 2 specific lower end lipo's to keep costs down.
