Their is no need for a corner marshal to walk across the track in the middle of a race to give someone their broken car while there is a 10 car pileup where the corner marshal SHOULD BE CORNER MARSHALING! And, even if the driver does run back to the pits to repair his car, do you think he's going to win the race?

OK, I just had to get that off my chest.

Point taken.

I agree with you but these are ROAR's rules.

To address your points:

1. A marshall can not leave their position. If a car can not be removed from the track without them leaving their marshalling position then the car must stay by the marshall in a manner that prevents it from driving away. Marshalls CAN NOT reapair a vehicle!! ROAR does have rules about this and if a marshall is caught repairing a vehicle there are penalties that will be issued against the marshall.

2. They may not win but they do have the right to get as many laps as possible. It can make the difference in where they qualify.

3. I agree that if a car is broken it should not be allowed to continue racing until it is repaired. It can damage the track, other cars and even injure someone. This is a call that would have to be made by the race director (Mark,John or whoever is announcing).

I will talk to Mark and John about this and it will be mentioned in the drivers meeting at the regional.
