I agree, the Axial is very versatile and has a ton of aftermarket parts available. That's if you want to bash electric. If you want to bash nitro, look at the Team Losi RTR trucks. They are extremely durable, popular, and parts are available everywhere. If you want to race, do you want to? Nitro or electric? If electric, then I'd say go with the Associated RTR stadium truck. If nitro, the most popular classes are 1/8 scale truggies(a buggy based racing truck). There's a lot of options here. I'd find out what's available at your local hobby shop, it's great to have parts available locally. Team Losi, again, makes an awsome roller(assembled with no electrics or engine) and just about every hobby shop carries them or can get them. OFNA is another brand to look for, they may make good a RTR tuggy. XTM makes an awesome truggy that normally sells for 400, which is a great price for what you get, but right now it's marked down to 300 which is a steal. Well, that's the best ones I can think of based on availability, quality, and not leaving you broke. Good luck with whatever you decide and have fun.
