I have both. I use the Onyx 230 and my commonsense balance pro mostly. The Hyperion charges to 8.38 every time. The Onyx charges between 8.38 - 8.42 depending on AC outlet its plugged into. Either way it charges under the ROAR 8.44 so I don't mind.
Of note, the Onyx + Balancer cost 80+40=$120. So you save $30 over the Hyperion. And if you add another Onyx then you save even more because one external balancer is enough when you use "quality matched" LiPo packs...
