You will need to use loctite on the motor lash adjusting screw, motor mounting screws and pinion set screw. I use blue on the motor lash and mounting screws. Red loctite on the pinion set screw. Note: if using red loctite you will need to apply heat to remove set screw, otherwise you will strip it out or break the allen wrench. I would think if you are using the un-finned motor no grinding would be needed.
