Josh,
I did find a certain size of plastic shrink wrap would fit over the openings to ward off dirt.
If you want, I can send you a couple of the older Phi diffs that built out pretty well...I won't use them. Just PM me.
When you can, buy the 08 diff and put your troubles behind.
