i do not like that the drive side hub is only supported by one bearing on the out side,is this a problem area of the 12L3? does anyone make a different drive assembally,or should i not worry about it? like i said i am used to 1/10 and my 10L3 drive hub is supported on both sides.
The span between the spur and outside bearing on a 12th scale diff is so small that it's really not an issue, but the comments about the IRS big ring diff are more than accurate. It's a bit smoother, slightly freer, and usually lasts longer between rebuilds.
Receiver depends on the radio you use, if you're on 27 band the Novak xxl is nice and small
Servos: Airtronics 94145, JR3025, and KO PDS947, The KO being the ULTIMATE in speed and holding power, but it is a little larger than the other two.
Speedos: LRP Quantum, Keyence Zero-V extreme, or GM v-12 or SX-9. I've seen people run GT7's but I've heard of problems with them. The KO VFS is also a killer speedo but would require the use of a receiver pack for 4-cell use
