Ran the 12ET MM motor for the first time over the weekend. It behaved flawlessly, made good power (but was hard to compare to my other engines as it was a very small and low traction track). I ran it with the 2611 pipe, but have a 2604 pipe that I plan to test at a larger track.

It has about 2.3 litres of Tornado 16% fuel, it was still locking up on the starter box before the mains, I still cannot turn it over without a plug, so this is very impressive!

I pulled it apart last night, the internals are all still shiney and look brand new, it didn't see past 118deg C. The piston/linear is bedding in very nicely. This motor has alot of potential, I still think it is about another 1-2 litres away from its full potential. I will order a spare rod for it, as I think this tight pinch could be adding some extra strain on it.

I agree with most of the above comments, yes it is a Sirio based motor, but I think the quality is much better. I ran the new Sirio XXX about 1 month earlier and it did not have anywhere near the amount of pinch the Capricorn has.

But so far, two thumbs up
