I think the biggest advantage over a video game is the real ability to adjust the car, and actually wrench on it compared to a video game's adjustable parameters. Punch in some numbers, and your dialed, where with a RC video car, you'd acually get to wrench, and fine tune, play with some settings. There is also the option to customize it, where with the video game, your stuck with what they give you.
