Pick up the part asc6575 that Robk posted. I had the same issue with my first build. My second build i decided to use thinner shims for the thrust bearing instead of the ones provided. I really dont know if that was a good idea yet but i'll find out very soon.

I was able to put one diff together the way associated intended. I put a small nut driver on the table put the diff on the nut driver and pressed down with the allen wrench. Basically i was a human press. For those that know me i'm a big boy so the extra weight helped.
