I guess that I have built nearly all shocks that are out there. Some that shouldn't be used too. I just built a Hot Bodies and thought that it was well worth the money. It does have a shock bladder on the top like touring shocks which acts as the volume compensator. It built perfectly for me. It's a touch longer then most of the Asc style shocks, which can be easily cut down. It's certainly one of the smoothest out there. It's good quality.

The Silva shocks are also good, but I suggest build the cartridge according to CRC's Dura-Shock's instructions and bleed it per CRC's method. I don't recall what the order was, but I just remember it worked better.

It would seem that if you are going to stock your pit box with must have shocks, I would look at: Hot Bodies, IRS Top Gun, Silva & CRC.
