I have yet to run into a traction rolling problem at The C, either with kit treaded radials (slicks might be a problem, especially if used without an insert) or X Patterns (I use the Pro compound belted, but the D compound or Pro unbelted might deform more- like the slicks mentioned above- and cause a problem), both of which are mounted on zero offset wheels. I do not use spacers or 6mm hex drives, so my car's a little on the narrow side. Works great.
Setup is 4.5mm ride height all around, TRF shocks with 2 hole plastic (not teflon) pistons, 40 wt Losi oil, and short blue springs. Cheapo Futaba 3004 servo, too. Runs like a champ.
Give it a little setup time (mine took a few weeks to figure out) and you'll be flying!
