MTR Switches on LPR wheels
Ok, here's the deal......I have a very nice set of older Switches that were mounted on MTR wheels and I'm going to resurrect them by mounting them on LPR wheels. I've heard that you have to cut the bead (or at least some of it) off in order to mount MTR tires on LPR wheels. I dismounted them and trial mounted them with foams (Bomb Ones) on the LPR wheels and they fit fine.......pretty much like they were made for those wheels. My question is, does anyone have any experience/knowledge of mounting MTR tires on LPR wheels and do I actually have to cut the bead to mount them? If I do have to cut the bead, is it for fitment or is it for performance of the tire? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
