Default IFS or IFS-R

I am trying to cut costs and have an opportunity to buy an TA05 IFS NSX 2007 kit for $160 ( closeout pricing ). The best deal I have found for the IFS R version is $230. The obvious differences between the two ( with regard to cost ) is the IFS comes with a body and a silver can motor ( basically another $50 in savings because I need both the body and 540 motor. The difference $70 + $50 = $120. My goal is to race this car in TCS regionals this coming year so I am wondering what specific hop up parts are thought to be essential to making the IFS competitive( and sturdy) with the IFS-R , then I can compare the cost difference. I don't really know all the specific differences between the two models so any help would be appreciated before I have to make the decision of one or the other.

note: I have read almost the entire thread and nothing was conclusive about upgrading the IFS to an IFS -R.
