You have done your research! And cautious you should be before making any kind of business venture as it's hard for the little guy to survive in RC, no matter what he is producing/selling. Many "Manufacturers" have also contacted us, asking us to import "their brand" of Lipo's. What you say may be true about numerous companies using Lipo's from the same "manufacturer". I'll have to check with Danny as he would have more info on that.

I'm glad that you purchase from muliple companies as this allows you first hand to see how packs perform differently, if they differ at all. I appreciate your support to SMC and still encourage you to support whom ever you feel is providing you with the best product for your hard earned $$$. If I read your post correctly, I assure you that only 1 manufacturer makes ALL of SMC's lipo products.

You may have trouble with the height of the pack. An alternate battery brace/strap may be required. Not 100% sure though.
