Split is the difference in diameter between the front and rear tyres. So if your front tyres are 60mm and your rears are say 62mm then you would have a 2mm split.
British menace: I know what you mean my tyre wear is disgusting and when the rears get roughly the same size as the fronts the car is a totally different car to drive compared to when i started off with a 2mm split. And my front belt looks stretched a little bit
