easy, The ball diff is just like what you would run in offroad(adjustable preload) but you dont get the on power steering of a spool or the off power steering of a oneway-- generally a decent middle ground, the spool or solid axle is commonly used in the front of a AWD touring car for the great on power steering it has(for off the corner) and great braking, downside is it understeers at corner entry(off power) more so than a one way or a diff. Which you can adjust for with setup. and a one way is locked like a spool on power but free wheels off power, down side is when you use the brakes only the rear is being slowed by the motor so its difficult to drive (in a race) usually extremely quick tho if you can drive with it. But there are trade offs with each style usually you just have to figure out what works for you..
