I'm sure Mike has researched the pros and cons for aluminum parts. In some places on some trucks it is a good thing. Other parts it is not the wisest choice in my opinion.

This is a hobby and all the choices make it fun to build what you want. Some choices are wise - some not. Depends on what you are wanting out of it. It is all good fun however. Fun is what a hobby is about.
