Hotels. Since I lived there all my life (I know live further away!
)never had to stay at a hotel but there is a Best Western on Wetminster Blvd not far from the track. There is an extended stay hotel just north of the track on Bolsa Chica as well but I think it is a little more expensive.
Tires. M3 Holeshots for the rears and M3 edges in the front are always a safe tire. Losi 8 rows should be good as well. Panther Raptors in soft or supersoft work great from what I hear as well if you can get some. Pink King pins will be a great tires as well. JC double D's in green will also work. Basically anything in that intermediate family of tires.
